Heavy rain is expected.

A low pressure system will bring heavy rain to communities in the Kivalliq beginning late Saturday evening and lasting through the day on Sunday. Total rainfall accumulations are expected to be between 20 and 40 mm.

Strong easterly winds coinciding with the rain are also expected, with gusts up to 90 km/h possible. This will result in visibilities being reduced at times when the rain and wind are strongest.

The rain and wind are expected to taper off Sunday evening.

Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced at times. Local utility outages are possible.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant impacts are expected due to rainfall amounts.
